What is this about?

I started this band because the radio is dead, the algorithm is a coward, and the room is too quiet. We (soon to be we) write funny songs because the world has gotten too serious for itself. No labels. No managers. No safe takes. Just amps that shouldn't be that loud and a drummer who hits like he owes someone money.

I know what you are thinking. This guy doesn't look very punk? I'm late to the game as it were. Sometimes you don't know who you are until life kicks you so far down and you either give up or fight your way back. I've done that. Met the grim reaper and I'm not going back until I can give him a high-five and tell him it was worth it!

Most popular music sucks.

What do I mean about that statement? Years upon years of listening to drummers playing faster. Guitarists playing over the top technically perfectly. Bands over dubbing extra guitar tracks to make their songs sound fuller. Making it sound as if they have 12 guitarists instead of 1 or 2. Singers being tweaked to death in post editing to sound pitch perfect on every track. This has been going on for decades.

Do you know what I love about Punk and Pop-punk? Mistakes. Hearing that stick click on a fill. The guitarist flubbing a string on a breakdown. The singer who has heart despite not having the best vocal range. Music being real. Being fun. Being memorable. Ever get a song stuck in your head even though you didn't really like it? Because something about it makes you sing it to yourself while riding an elevator alone or in your car.

Now that's music! Not perfect, not tweaked to death. Telling the world how you feel through a song in words and sounds you put out with heart and soul. Not engineering tricks.
